Traditional FTP Services
We offer space on our ftp site for our customers to upload their own plot or graphics files. Because we host our own website on the premises, we are able to provide you with a high level of security. To upload files to a public directory for plotting or imagesetting services, you can upload your file(s) to the "Print" or "Plotting" directories, You can do this several ways:
Before using Internet Explorer for drag-and-drop FTP you will have to change one default setting. Go to ( Tools - Internet Option - Advanced tab ). Half way down the list is an item named "Use passive FTP (for dsl and modem compatibility) This needs to be un-checked.
1. On some browsers, (Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6) , you can drag the file directly into the ftp directory, and the transfer will automatically occur. To proceed directly to the ftp site in your browser, go to ftp://techniprintaz.com. In the Login pop-up enter your Techniprint Login and Password.
2. For Internet Explorer 7, unfortunately, they have made it a little more difficult. After you use the method above, you will have to go to the "Page" button (it's on the upper right, next to your home and print buttons) and click on "Open FTP Site In Windows Explorer". This will require you to once again enter your login. These days it's usually easier using a free FTP program.
3. And speaking of free FTP clients, if you would rather use a program that has been designed for easy, quick ftp file transfers, we highly recommend the free version of FTP Commander. You can download it here. The user guide is available here. You can also download a 30 day trial evaluation version of IpSwitch WS FTP Pro software below. For Mac users, you can download a trial version of Fetch FTP or use the FTP client programs in Adobe GoLive or Dreamweaver if you have them.
For all of the FTP programs, the address of our FTP site is techniprintaz.com.
IMPORTANT: Please put your files in a folder (named significantly) before uploading as we get many files, and may not be able to recognize yours among many.
Once you have transferred your files please e-mail your print instructions ( printme@techniprintaz.com or plotting@techniprintaz.com ) or you can fill out and fax over a work order or Interactive PDF to
602-256-0620. With so many options, you can decide what works best for you!
We cannot start working on your job until we receive a work order or instructions from you.
